Vicente Dalmau Sorlí

Head of the Plant Health Service, Regional Government of Valencia.

He studied Agricultural Engineering, specialising in Breeding, and has a Degree in Oenology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

He is a civil servant of the Regional Government of Valencia since 2004 and has held various positions within the Plant Health Service, which he has been head of since 2010.

His work involves plant protection products and their residues; managing pests and plant diseases; regulating and fostering Integrated Production and Integrated Pest Management, and supervising and certifying plant propagation material in the Valencia region.

He is a member of several committees in Spain, including the National Plant Health Committee and the Evaluation Committee on Plant Health Products.

He has participated in several publicly funded R&D projects on citrus fruit pests and diseases. 

He has also worked as an expert on missions and a tutor and training coordinator  on several programmes under the European Commission DG SANCO Better Training for Safer Food initiative, related to training in plant health and plant protection products, in the European Union and third countries.
