PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). Director of the Plant Protection Department at the National Institute of Agricultural Research and Technology (INIA) in Madrid, and a researcher in the Phytopathogenic Fungi Group, a pioneering group in Spain on biological control of diseases and on the etiology, epidemiology and control of brown rot of stone fruit caused by fungi of the genus Monilinia. To date she has published 125 papers, including over 60 publications in journals included in the Web of Science (SCI) and 40 as first or last author. She has participated in over 35 national projects and research contracts, 15 of which as principal investigator, and in 5 international projects. She has taught postgraduate courses at UCM and UPM in Madrid, supervised PhD theses, and participated in national and international plant protection committees.
