ANNA AYMAMÍ BESORA

Education:
  1. Degree in Biology specialising in Organisms and Systems, Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
  2. Post-graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Quality, Safety and the Environment. Catalan Institute of Technology (ICT).

Experience:
  1. Since 2009: Plant Health Technical Advisor at the Tarragona Office of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and the Environment of the Regional Government of Catalonia.
  2. Chair of the Technical Committee on Integrated Production of Nuts, and member of the Technical Committee for Plant Protection Products in Integrated Production.
  3. She has participated in technology transfer actions and has been a speaker at technical conferences on plant health matters. 
  4. Trainer on courses organised by various bodies in the agricultural sector, on Pesticide Applicators, Integrated Production, and Organic Agriculture.
  5. From 2003-2009: ADV (plant protection association) technical advisor for nuts, olives and stone fruit.
  6. From 1999-2003: technical advisor in an environmental services company.

Projects and participation:
  1. Co-author of articles about nuts published in magazines and plant health journals. Participation in drafting the Integrated Pest Management Guidelines for Nuts (Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment).
  1. Implementation of and participation in several experimental tests to control pests and diseases in nuts, olives and vines.
