Present position: Phytosanitary inspector, on charge of quarantine and virus and virus like disease laboratory, Plant Protection Service, Emilia Romagna, Italy.

  1. Specific knowledge to establish and to carry out the different steps of the certification system: nuclear stock, pre-multiplication center, mother plant fields, nurseries.
  2. Specific knowledge in managing international exchanges and quarantine regulation (Dir 2000/29 CE; Di. 2008/61 CE).
  3. Field inspections and laboratory controls by specific analysis of viruses and phytoplasmas associated to quarantine diseases.
Scientific and legal knowledge with specific expertise on:
  1. research and laboratory activity in different areas of plant pathology, nursery activities, certification schemes
  2. development and management of several EU projects from various programmes
  3. good knowledge of European rules for managing certification programs;Italian representative in research programmes supported by EU Commission about virus and phytoplasmas detection
  4. attendance as expert in working group for national legislation (fruit plant certification)
  5. attendance as expert in Twinning projects, supported by UE
  6. experiences in carrying out field surveys
  7. long and deep experience in detection of viruses and virus like organisms
